And that is terrible for someone like me – who loves camping near the castles. But I also would like to visit both America (North and South). So I need to plan my travel in my favourites way: campings and very old buildings.
So I decided to search the oldest towns and building in whole America. My first though: Maya pyramids in Mexico – but these incredible buildings are almost 2000 years old, and they come from ancient times, not Middle-Ages. So I must search more. So I find San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador – the oldest city in South America. Quito was set in 16th Century, at the turn of Middle-Ages and the Renaissance. Thanks to that in Quito are located colonial and neo-Gothic buildings like Iglesia de la Compańa, Basílica del Voto Nacional, Iglesia de Santo Domingo and a few more.
OK, I gain destination of my South America Journey. But there is also North America, which I also would like to visit. I plan to go to St. Augustine, the oldest town in USA, and to Philadelphia – one of older and bigger city in that country. In St. Augustine tourists can watch the first fort in continental USA and about 30 different buildings. St. Augustine is a small, cozy town, so I hope stay there about few days. But Philadelphia… It is very big city, so I’m worry about my comfort. I believe I will stay in hotel for a few days. I would like to see Independence Hall and other Georgian buildings.
I think I will look for another interesting places in America and I hope my travel will last about three months. My plan is to go to the USA next year, so I need to take care of ESTA (USA), https://www.applyesta.us/visa-waiver-program/, and different visas (South America). And of course, I will tell you everything about my travel 🙂
